The construction of an ablution block at the New Chongwe Modern Market has reached 97 percent completion, with only minor finishing touches remaining before the facility is officially handed over.

Once completed and operational, the ablution block is expected to serve more than 3,000 traders when the highly anticipated New Chongwe Modern Market is completed and officially opened. The facility will significantly improve sanitation and hygiene conditions for traders and members of the public.

The ablution block forms part of efforts to provide improved infrastructure and create a clean, safe, and conducive trading environment for the growing number of traders in Chongwe.
