Chongwe Member of Parliament and Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Sylvia T. Masebo has officially handed over the CDF projects constructed in Chalimbana and Chainda wards of Chongwe district.
She handed over a 1×3 Classroom block, Water reticulation system and Ablution block to Lubansa primary school and a 1×3 Classroom block to Chalimbana secondary school.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Hon. Masebo disclosed that the projects were fully funded through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) at amounts costing K646,970.20 for Chalimbana Secondary and K659,287.66 for Lubansa Primary School.
The water reticulation system at Lubansa primary school was constructed at a cost of K193,333.3 while the Ablution block was constructed at K384,025.93.
Hon. Masebo further applauded the Chongwe CDF committee for the diligence so far shown in the implementation of the projects in the district adding that it is reflective of President Hakaindeβs commitment to developing the country.
She also urged the community to guard the projects commissioned jealously so that they can serve future generations.
