Chongwe District today celebrated the Adolescent Health Indaba, an event aimed at promoting the health, well-being and empowerment of young people through access to accurate health information and essential services.
Present at the celebration was Chongwe Municipal Council’s Director Housing and Social Services Mr Philemon Nyirenda, who was representing the Town Clerk Mr Damson Mukwato, the Director Health Services, Dr Morton Zuze and cooperating partners who raised awareness on key issues affecting adolescents, including sexual and reproductive health, mental health, nutrition, substance abuse prevention and life skills development.
The Adolescent Health Indaba reaffirmed Chongwe District’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles among young people and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders to ensure adolescents have the knowledge, support and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.
