The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has commenced the training of District Electoral Officers (DEOs), Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers and District Election Trainers in preparation for the August polls.
The training is aimed at equipping election officials with the knowledge and skills required to effectively manage the electoral process, uphold electoral laws and procedures, and ensure the delivery of free, fair, transparent and credible elections.
The team will also be expected to mentor the poll staff who will soon be selected as the country prepares for the elections.
